Research by Kadir and Barry (1991) found that α-bisabolol enhanced the penetration of certain topical drugs, including triamcinolone acetonide, in an in vitro human-skin study. This finding provides a scientific basis for investigating bisabolol as a skin penetration enhancer.
Bisabolol has also been studied for its anti-inflammatory properties. Together with regular moisturisation, it supports the formulation approach behind RES-Q: helping soothe uncomfortable skin while maintaining hydration.
